easyasawesome: I don’t really know what people mean when they say “look up to someone”. Explain?  I always think of it as aspiring to be your role model(s). For example, I look up to the people at my church for how to behave in godly ways. When someone says “I look up to you” he or she means they like and/or appreciate how you act and wish to implement some of or learn from your actions. In the negative sense — I’ve heard this line in movies — “I looked up to you” indicates a past sense of inspiration but something you committed or said changed the individual’s mind about wanting to follow in your footsteps.
