This is the first song that ex-Marksmen is releasing as TALLHART. It’s a harder version of their older song Sister Of Mine from the album Sister Of Mine, and it puts a whole new spin on changing band names for legal reasons.
Same guys, new label, different name — and with that different name — a mission to keep writing the best damn songs and make their instruments and voices follow suit and play shows like there were no tomorrows.
I think Marksmen was fantastic, don’t get me wrong, but after this single, I’m ready to hear what other incredible sounds TALLHART has to offer.
Dudes dudes dudes CHECK IT. These guys are making a huge name for themselves, and you definitely don’t wanna miss out.
ATTENTION ALL MARKSMEN FANS
(from the new website:)To those of you who have heard our music under the band name, Marksmen, we have some news (depending how you look at it, it could be good, bad, or irrelevant):
Long story short, we were strongly advised by management, lawyers, etc. to change our name in order to avoid any potential legal trouble down the road (considering the name Marksmen is trademarked by another band – lame), so we were sadly left with no other option than to change the name of our band. That is why from this point on, we will write and perform music under the new name, TALLHART.
Although we have a new band name, we are still the same group of guys writing the same style of music that you’ve possibly grown familiar with over the last year or two. If you are one of those individuals, it’s important to know that:
1) We have re-submitted our album, “Sister of Mine” to be available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, etc. under the new name, TALLHART. We will also be selling physical copies at our shows.

PS: on the bright side, we’re now in the midst of recording a brand new EP that will be released in the coming months AND we will be touring throughout most of the spring (we will have all of the dates listed on here soon).

I have a bunch of things queued up still tagged with Marksmen, but from now on, whatever new images I queue will be tagged with TALLHART, whereas new audio/video posts will be tagged with both (until the band starts releasing new stuff under TALLHART). I’ve also updated the name of this blog and its header.
It was a great name, and though many may see it as a loss, this is just a new beginning to a grand year. They’re still gonna rock your faces off, still gonna shred on guitars (and drums!), and still be the nicest dudes ever.
